Coffee on a flooded St Mark’s Square

St Mark’s Square is the oldest and lowest-lying part of Venice. Land subsidence and rising sea levels mean that high water on the square is an almost daily occurrence. The MOSE barrier triggers at a tide of 110cm; St Mark’s Square floods as soon as the tide exceeds 80cm.
