During major international operations to tackle the illegal wildlife trade, officers successfully seize hundreds of products made from endangered species of plants and animals. Each year, trophy hunters kill hundreds of big cats, including endangered or threatened species. Trophy hunters prefer to kill the largest, strongest animals, whose loss causes population declines in tigers, lions, and leopards, among other species.
