According to the European Space Agency (ESA), the total mass of objects in Earth’s orbit exceeds 14,000 tons. The actual number of space debris larger than 1 cm may exceed 1.2 million. Confining the human species to the planet perhaps is the best way to prevent spreading our damage to other planets.
