Two cheetahs resting up on a termite mound survey their surroundings for prey, remaining alert to danger from lions and hyenas that commonly steal their prey and attempt to kill any young cubs. Cheetahs are adapted to sprinting for short distances at up to 100 kph.

يستريح فهدان فوق مستعمرة النمل الأبيض ويقومان بمراقبة المناطق المحيطة بهما بحثاً عن فرائس، ويظلان في حالة تأهّب ترقّباً للخطر الذي قدّ تشكّله عليها الأُسود والضباع التي عادةً ما تسرق فرائسها وتحاول قتل جرائها. تستطيع الفهود الركض لمسافات قصيرة بسرعة تصل إلى 100 كيلومتر في الساعة.
