Chornobyl’s Last Reactor

Unit #3, the last reactor at Chornobyl, was only shut down in December 2000. Its control room is identical to reactor #4, where the failed safety test caused an explosion and meltdown. Two operators died instantly; 28 others later succumbed to radiation poisoning.
