Standing proud against the terrifying storms that ravage the north coast of the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, is the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse. The watchtower wasn’t automated until 1998, making it one of the last in the British Isles to lose its lighthouse keeper.

ترتفع منارة “بات أوف لويس” على شمال شاطئ جزيرة لويس في اسكتلندا، متحديةً العواصف المروّعة التي تجتاح تلك المنطقة. والجدير بالذكر أنّ هذه المنارة تعد واحدةً من آخر المنارات على الجزر البريطانية التي اعتمدت آلية العمليات المؤتمتة، حيث ظلّ حارس المنارة يداوم فيها حتّى العام 1998.
