A mother polar bear rests with her cubs on the ice of the Barents Sea. Raising cubs in this environment presents many difficulties. There is the constant dangers from male bears and finding seals is a huge challenge, once the sea ice breaks up.

دبّة أمّ تستريح مع دياسمها على الجليد في بحر بارنتس. تسبّب تربية الدياسم في هذه البيئة مصاعب كثيرة، منها الخطر الذي تشكّله الدببة الذكور على حياة الصغار، وصعوبة إيجاد الفقمات للطعام بعد أن يبدأ الجليد بالتكسُّر.
