يعمل رجال إطفاء شركة نفط الشمال على إخماد الحريق في البئر باستخدام رافعة يمكنها الاقتراب من مضخّة النفط، وتطلق مزيجاً من المياه المالحة والإسمنت. يتدفق النفط ويشتعل على ارتفاع مبنى متعدّد الطبقات.
