Makhavusi walks hundreds of miles a week in search of food along with Marupia, making sure that the elephant doesn’t stray into local communities. Mak was rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. Traumatised by his ordeal, she was hand raised and bottle fed, and now helps educate visitors.
