Dress and Scalpel
Forty Mile Colony, Montana – 2023 A woman holds a bloodied scalpel for castrating calves during a long day of branding. During branding, the women do all the same work as the men, rounding up cattle on horseback, roping and wrestling calves and helping to brand, vaccinate and castrate the calves.
