The Hajar al-Aswad, or Black Stone, is set in the eastern corner of the Kaaba. During the Quraysh reconstruction, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) resolved a dispute by having each tribe hold part of a cloth carrying the stone, letting all participate in its placement.
