Decisive Moment

We are at a decisive moment, critical for the future of our planet. Our way of life, the imbalance between technological progress and the natural world, confronts society with increasingly complex and urgent global challenges. Environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, global warming, climate change, rising inequality, moral indifference, and even the pandemic, possibly linked to these issues, are major concerns of our time.

Through symbolism, "Decisive Moment" explores the potential of photography, of art, as a medium to raise awareness, incite consciousness, and foster the mindset shift needed to address the climate crisis.

The aim is to visually express concerns and reflections related to this crisis, encompassing its social, economic, scientific, and technological dimensions, all of which are now deeply embedded in our daily lives. This work captures the planet’s critical state, while also projecting a hopeful vision for the future. It is a powerful call to awareness, motivating collective action to restore our planet's health through sustainable living and coexistence with nature.

Metaphors, illusions, and visual deceptions challenge both the eye and the mind, inviting the viewer into further reflection. The intention is to evoke emotion and provoke thought through a committed and deliberate visual language.

The title pays tribute to Henri Cartier-Bresson's concept of the “decisive moment”, a fleeting instant of profound significance. Today, as a society, we are undoubtedly living through such a moment.
