Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland.

Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland.

Bamburgh Castle has been on the Northumbrian coast for many years and is still occupied. It was home to a succession of kings from Henry VI to James I and was apparently the first castle to fall to gunpowder during the Wars of the Roses.
