Glenfinnan, Scotland

The monument on the loch side remembers the arrival of Charles Edward Stuart, more commonly known as ‘Bonnie Prince Charlie’ . It was on that lake’s shore that many Highlanders assembled and vowed to demolish the English. Their plan lasted just around 7 months and the Prince fled back to France.
