La Llorona

A personal visual interpretation of central Mexico’s mythical figure La Llorona, created through light-painting to evoke the spectral aura of her legend. Said to be a weeping spirit who haunts riverbanks, she is believed to return during the Day of the Dead, fittingly in the guise of La Catrina, the iconic skeletal lady of Mexican tradition.
