The Cao Dai Religion

The sanctified noon prayer at the Great Divine Temple in southern Vietnam, the spiritual center of Caodaism, which is a syncretic, monotheistic faith that combines Confucianism, Daoism, Buddhism, Catholicism, and local traditions. Founded in 1926, the religion was banned in 1975 and officially reinstated in 1997.
